Election Inspectors

The right to vote is one of our nation's oldest and most important entitlements, and with this right comes responsibility. Free and open elections are the basis on which this country was formed and you can make a difference by becoming an election inspector to help protect those freedoms. Westchester County is always in need of Election Inspectors willing to work at one of various polling sites on Election Day. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.

When are you needed?
Annual Elections that include:

*Please note: April Presidential Primary takes place every 4 years. Special Elections will take place as needed.*

What tasks will you perform as an election inspector?

You are eligible to serve as an election inspector if you:
Are a New York State registered voter. If you are 17 years old, you may be eligible if your school district participates in a program under Education Law Section 3207-a.

Election inspector requirements:

Election inspectors receive $350 for working on Election Day, plus $25 to attend a training class and pass an exam. 

Complete the Poll Worker Application form and submit it to the Board of Elections either by:
